Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and I recently announced a $360 million commitment over the next four years to resurface 2000 Brisbane streets, under our Smoother Suburban
Streets program.
The commitment is a record four year investment into extending the life and quality of Brisbane streets and represents a $70 million funding increase over the current program.
This record investment into resurfacing will benefit many well used local streets this year, including Bowen Terrace near your home.
Work is scheduled this week and I appreciate your patience as Council and our contractors work in the local area.
Whether it’s a short trip to the shops or a longer drive to sporting games on the weekend, good roads mean less wear & tear on vehicles, safer journeys and more enjoyable drives.
