Brisbane City Council wishes to advise the speed limit on Kingsford Smith Drive between Cooksley Street and Racecourse Road has been reduced from Monday 5 September 2016 to facilitate the next phase of construction in the Kingsford Smith Drive upgrade.
Speed limit changes will be clearly marked.

Brisbane City Council is upgrading Kingsford Smith Drive to reduce traffic congestion and improve road safety.
The upgrade involves widening the road from four to six lanes between Theodore Street at Eagle Farm and Cooksley Street at Hamilton.
It also includes improvement works between Cooksley Street and Breakfast Creek Road at Albion.
Lendlease is responsible for the design and construction of the upgrade with construction activities now underway.
Construction will be undertaken across two major work zones for the duration of the project:
west – Toorak Road to Racecourse Road
east – Racecourse Road to Theodore Street.
It also includes improvement works between Cooksley Street and Breakfast Creek Road at Albion.
