Nominations for the 2026 WasteSMART Brisbane Awards are now open.
These awards recognise the people and projects going above and beyond to make Brisbane a clean and sustainable city.
About the awards
The 2026 WasteSMART Brisbane Awards showcase Brisbane’s sustainability leaders and recognise outstanding efforts to reduce waste and promote resource recovery across the city.
With 12 award categories and a prize pool of more than $4,000, the awards celebrate innovative ideas and practical solutions that are making a real difference in our city.

| Monday 6 July – Friday 28 August 2026 | Nomination period. |
| Monday 28 September – Monday 12 October 2026 | Public voting in the People’s Choice WasteSMART Award. |
| Monday 12 October – Friday 16 October 2026 | Judging panel for all other categories. |
| Friday 20 November 2026 | WasteSMART Brisbane Awards winners announced at a ceremony at City Hall. |
