BOTANICA – Contemporary Art Outside

I chair Brisbane’s Arts and Nighttime Economy Committee and this May I want you to discover our stunning open-air art exhibition in the heart of Brisbane City at Botanica – Contemporary Art Outside from 7-16 May 2021, in the City Botanic Gardens from 5-10pm daily.

As the sun sets over Central Ward’s iconic urban skyline, we will bring Brisbane’s City Botanic Gardens to life with large-scale projections, surprising installations and interactive artworks to captivate children and adults.

Enjoy Botanica Live Nights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during the festival with additional activations, music, food trucks and an outdoor bar.

Botanica is a feature of our wider BAD event – Brisbane Art Design 2021

BAD is where art, design and the city of Brisbane collide over a month-long program of dynamic exhibitions, open-studios, outdoor interventions, talks, tours, workshops and more, led by Museum of Brisbane.

For the month of May, Brisbane’s city, fringe areas and suburbs will be activated across four jam-packed  weekends featuring more than 80 venues, 160 events and 200 artists. Shining a spotlight on the best of Brisbane’s Art and Design.
