We all know New Farm is one of Brisbane’s most loved destinations.

As Time Out says as they designated it the 29^th coolest suburb in the planet last week –

Whether it’s a morning at the Brisbane Powerhouse Markets, lunch with friends at the Deli, a family football fixture at New Farm United, or an evening at one of the suburb’s many restaurants and bars and bowls clubs, New Farm continues to attract visitors looking for experiences that are uniquely Brisbane.

But with popularity comes pressure.

That’s why I am exploring whether existing weekday clearways on Brunswick Street should be extended to weekends to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently during the suburb’s busiest periods.

I am now seeking your feedback on whether the weekday arrangements should perhaps apply on weekends, particularly in the area of Brunswick Street between Kent Street and Barker Street.

Last year we had success with the changes at Robertson and Doggett Streets that simplified traffic movements in James Street – I think we should consider sensible changes in Brunswick Street too.
