Development i building application tool

It’s our new online search tool to keep you up-to-date on proposed builds in our area.

The new online platform that will help interested residents keep across proposed developments in Brisbane will be launched, making it even easier for residents to find information and have their say.

The new online tool, called Development.i, will replace the Brisbane Planning and Development Online tool (PD Online) which was introduced 13 years ago.

The introduction of Development.i follows Council’s commitment as part of Brisbane’s Future Blueprint to create an alert-based planning system.

Technology is constantly evolving, and this new online tool will give residents access to more information and ensure they are notified of the opportunities to engage throughout the development process.

Development.i provides greater transparency in the development application process and makes it even easier for people to interact with Council.

An alert-based system makes ensures residents can stay up to date with building proposals right across Brisbane.

An interesting feature of Development.i is you can simply search by map to see what is proposed around you, or search by suburb, address or even by Council Ward.

The new tool also provides an alert update on the progress of any applications a resident has saved.

The planning process can sometimes be quite long and include many different updates, changes to applications and periods of community consultation.

We are pleased we are able to introduce a platform that will ensure residents are notified of any changes to applications, and most importantly be notified when community consultation opens so residents won’t miss their chance to have their say on any proposed developments.

Development.i will have development data back to 2004 so residents can easily access documents of interest. If residents are seeking information on applications pre-2004 they can contact the Council Contact Centre on 3403 8888.

PD Online will remain available until further notice to transition to the new platform. Transition to the new platform has started and the Development i building application tool officially goes live TODAY at this link – https://developmenti.brisbane.qld.gov.au
