The Future Founders Bursary is your chance to turn that idea into action — with fully funded support, expert mentorship and networking opportunities, thanks to Brisbane City Council.

What’s on offer?
The bursary gives you free access to one of two dedicated programs in 2026. In those programs you’ll work alongside like-minded young people, build your idea into something more, and get tools and connections to help you move forward.
These programs cover everything from market research and critical thinking, to collaboration and presentation skills. Whether you’re spotting a gap in the market, wanting to solve a problem, or ready to build something with your values and passion — this is the opportunity.
Who can apply?
Young people aged 15-18 in 2026.
Living in the Brisbane local government area or attending a school in Brisbane.
Creative, curious and motivated — with a business idea you’d like to start or a challenge you’d like to solve.
If you don’t have a fully formed idea yet but you’re excited about entrepreneurship, this is still a great place to explore—it might lead you to what inspires you.
