MELT Festival: Celebrating Arts, Culture and Community
As Brisbane City Councillor and Chair of Arts and Communities, I am passionate advocate for cultural events that strengthen our city’s creative identity, support local artists and bring communities together.
MELT continues to be one of Brisbane’s most significant arts festivals, providing a platform for diverse voices, creative expression and meaningful community engagement.
The 2026 MELT program showcases an exciting mix of theatre, visual arts, comedy, exhibitions and participatory experiences, including An Evening Without Kate Bush, Trophy Boys, Onesie World, With Love, From the Future and Queer Readings of the QUT Art Collection. These events celebrate creativity while encouraging audiences to connect through shared stories and experiences.
The Lord Mayor and I deliver MELT with teh Brisbane City Cocnil Powerhouse because we know it :
