Music lovers can now vote for their favorite music video in the Schrinner Council’s 2024 QUBE Effect’s People’s Choice Award.

Experts included Powderfinger’s Bernard Fanning, JC and Ian Haug, The Grates’ Patience Hodgson, The QUBE Effect alumni Hope D as well as industry heavyweights Nick DiDia, Nat Dunn, John Mullen and Joc Curran.

Chosen finalists will perform at an official awards ceremony at the popular live-music venue The Triffid on Monday 19 August.

Awards categories include the:

  • People’s Choice Award,

  • The QUBE Development Award
  • Original Song Award,
  • Lord Mayor’s Live Music Award.

Winners will take home a share of prizes including vouchers, industry mentoring, and opportunities for paid performances at local festivals and venues.

Residents are encouraged to vote for their favourite music video on Council’s website.

Brisbane’s live music scene is part of our incredible lifestyle and The QUBE Effect provides the vital support to help the next generation of talented musicians.

This free opportunity is the perfect way for young and emerging artists to gain experience, network with like-minded people and learn from some of the best in the industry.

I’m committed to fostering Brisbane talent because I don’t want to see young local musicians give up on their dreams as a result of rising costs.

That’s why this program is absolutely free – it helps artists get ahead, inspires them to follow their dreams and ensures Brisbane continues to be the best place to live, work and play.” said Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner.
